lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform that enables FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products through a single API. As part of the dwpbank Group, the company aims to make investing accessible to all European customers. The Investment Compliance Manager will own and strengthen the Investment Compliance Function, ensuring alignment with WPHG requirements. This embedded role involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Partner Management to support compliant product growth. The position offers a hybrid work setup in Germany with flexible working hours and various perks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on WPHG compliance experience in a licensed fintech or bank, with a clear focus on securities services or securities distribution.
  • Strong expertise in German regulatory requirements relevant to investment compliance, including topics such as best execution, inducements, appropriateness, product governance, customer classification, conflicts of interest, and related control frameworks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Operations, Partner Management, and other first-line functions in an embedded setup.
  • Fluent in both German and English in a professional environment.
  • Genuine interest in product development and ability to translate regulation into practical guidance that supports innovation without compromising compliance.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, ownership-driven work style, thriving in dynamic environments and motivated to improve structures.
