Description

Zalando is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for its ZEOS B2B platform, which lets partners integrate and scale within the Zalando ecosystem. The engineer will work on the central Portal, Portal Applications, or the Platform Integration team, building high-performance React and TypeScript applications within a Micro Frontend architecture. The role includes owning the full development lifecycle from architecture and API design through testing, deployment, and production monitoring, plus mentoring peers and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on AWS/Kubernetes. The engineer will also collaborate closely with designers and product managers to implement Zalando's Design System.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in TypeScript and React
  • Deep knowledge of modern build tools such as Webpack and the Node.js ecosystem
  • Practical experience with Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures, including state management and routing in complex distributed frontend systems
  • Solid understanding of web security and modern authentication flows such as Okta or OpenID Connect
  • Comfortable working with AWS and Kubernetes, with automated testing and CI/CD as standard practice
  • Excellent English communication skills, able to explain technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
