Description

Sprengnetter, part of the Scout24 group, is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and coach its DevOps team. The role owns end-to-end reliability, availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of the company's platforms and production systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure. The manager drives the continuous development of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring, alerting, and incident-response practices, working closely with engineering, product, security, and compliance teams. The role also owns compliance requirements such as ISO standards, GDPR, and internal control systems, and accompanies audits and risk analyses.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure operations, or a comparable field, with demonstrable experience leading teams technically and as a line manager
  • Solid experience operating, scaling, and optimizing business-critical production environments, ideally in regulated industries
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration and operating highly available, secure production systems
  • Strong understanding of modern, scalable system architectures and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MariaDB
  • Practical experience with Git, CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins), infrastructure automation (e.g. Ansible), container technologies (e.g. Docker), application platforms such as Tomcat, and cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Good scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or comparable technologies
  • Experience with information security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal control systems
  • Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
