Description

Delivery Hero, the Berlin-headquartered local delivery platform operating in around 65 countries, is hiring a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer for its Fintech team. The role focuses on the internal payments engine that processes transactions for the whole group, alongside wallet, credit and anti-fraud products used by millions of customers and merchants. You will design and deliver highly scalable distributed systems in Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot, Hibernate and JUnit, plus React and TypeScript on the frontend, and own those services end to end in a build-it-run-it culture. The work also covers secure coding, domain-driven design and infrastructure automation, with hands-on technical mentorship shaping the wider engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and delivering software systems in highly complex business domains at global scale within fintech or payments
  • Deep backend engineering expertise with a strong preference for distributed systems
  • Hands-on mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate and JUnit
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React and PostgreSQL
  • A strong engineering ownership mindset with a passion for automation, CI/CD and reliability
