Description

N26 is hiring a Senior Product Security Engineer to drive its product security strategy and help engineering teams design and build secure software across a diverse product portfolio. The role embeds advanced security practices into microservices, mobile applications, and cutting-edge AI systems such as Generative AI and Large Language Models, while safeguarding sensitive data and aligning with data governance principles. Working within N26's Security Engineering segment, the engineer performs design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing, and builds automation for the Secure Software Development Lifecycle. They also mentor engineers and security champions and lead incident response when security events occur.

Requirements

  • Software engineering expertise with one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Go)
  • Extensive experience with threat modeling, security testing, and analyzing applications, including GenAI and LLM systems
  • Prior experience building automation to support the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams throughout the SDLC
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud and networking security, web application security, and mobile security
  • Understanding of security challenges unique to AI-driven products and data governance
  • Strong understanding of microservice architectures and scalable software in the cloud
  • Expertise in static and dynamic code analysis, fuzzing, and other vulnerability-identification techniques
  • Solid knowledge of secure coding best practices and security standards including the OWASP Top 10
