Description

Software engineering role at arculus (an intralogistics robotics company, part of Jungheinrich) designing, developing and maintaining Rust-based software products with a focus on feature-driven functionality, robustness and scalability. The developer builds fault-tolerant, concurrent systems, optimizes performance and memory usage, and implements monitoring and logging for production reliability. The role includes writing tests, participating in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines, documenting features and APIs, and collaborating with Product Owners, System Architects and cross-functional teams. It also involves prototyping new algorithms and ML inference pipelines.

Requirements

  • MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and product development
  • Proven experience programming in Rust or C++ with a focus on efficient, robust and maintainable code
  • Expert knowledge of algorithms, data structures and software problem-solving
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments
  • Experience implementing optimization algorithms, graph algorithms or ML inference in production systems
  • Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking and observability tools
  • Experience working in data-driven environments with simulation and short time-to-market cycles
