Senior Principal Applied Scientist - Ranking and Recommendations (all genders)

Zalando's Ranking and Recommendations team is building the next generation of fashion discovery systems using deep learning, multi-objective optimisation and recommender systems. As Senior Principal Applied Scientist you drive the scientific roadmap and architect machine learning solutions that improve product selection, ranking and recommendations for more than 50 million customers. The role spans long-term research roadmaps across multiple product areas, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on investments, strategic direction and make-or-buy decisions. It also involves mentoring senior and principal scientists and partnering with applied science leaders and product managers to deliver large, high-uncertainty projects in production. The position is based in Zurich or Berlin.
