Description

REWE digital is the IT home of the REWE Group, where IT and non-IT specialists build innovations for retail. The business informatics degree lasts three years and is divided into six semesters, each combining three months of practice at REWE digital in Cologne with three months of theory at the cooperating university FHDW in Bergisch Gladbach; you can also combine it with an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in application development or system integration, taking that examination in the fourth semester. Depending on your focus, the practice phases take you through business analysis with contact to customers and developers, development including software engineering and databases, testing with test automation and test methodology, system operations covering networks and server systems, and business systems.

Requirements

  • University entrance qualification (Abitur or Fachabitur) with a good grade average
  • Enthusiasm for IT and a good basic understanding of it
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect business and IT topics
  • Strong technical and logical-analytical thinking
  • High willingness to learn and perform and good powers of concentration
  • Independent, flexible way of working and a team player attitude
