Description
REWE digital is the IT home of the REWE Group, where IT and non-IT specialists build innovations for retail. The applied computer science degree lasts three years and is divided into six semesters, each combining three months of practice at REWE digital in Frankfurt with three months of theory at the cooperating university in Mannheim; and it ends with a bachelor thesis supervised internally and a Bachelor of Science degree. During the practice phases you get to know a wide range of retail systems, both in-house and third-party, gain insight into the different areas of software engineering, work with programming languages such as Java and TypeScript, frameworks such as Kafka, Hadoop, JEE, Spring and Angular and databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL and Oracle. You also learn how software quality is ensured through unit, regression and automated tests and how applications run on Google Cloud Platform.
