Description

bulwiengesa, a real estate consulting and market research subsidiary of the Scout24 Group, is hiring a Senior Economist to take ownership of its macroeconomic forecasting products, including the German Property Index and the Housing Demand Forecast, and to continuously develop its forecasting methodology. The role analyzes macroeconomic trends and capital markets, assesses interest rate, inflation, and financing developments, and prepares market outlooks, reports, and research publications in close collaboration with Research, Data Science, and Product teams. Candidates need a Master's degree in Economics or a related field, at least 5 years of relevant experience in macroeconomic research or capital markets, and fluency in German and English.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Economics or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in macroeconomic research, capital markets, or economic forecasting
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomics and international capital markets
  • Experience developing economic forecasts and quantitative models
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Knowledge of the German real estate market
  • Basic understanding of real estate valuation
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar analytical tools
