Description

REWE digital is the technology unit of the REWE Group. In the Security Operations Center the team develops and runs the central security platform of the REWE Group, using modern technologies and automation to detect cyber threats early, handle security incidents efficiently and continuously protect the IT landscape. As (Senior) Security Platform Engineer you develop, operate and optimise this platform and the SOC tooling, integrate new data sources and systems, and build detection use cases and automations together with the security analysts. You plan and accompany the introduction of new security solutions from requirements gathering through testing to production, assess new technologies and work closely with infrastructure and information security colleagues across the group.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in security engineering or in a security operations centre environment
  • Sound knowledge of SIEM, XDR, EDR, NDR or PAM solutions
  • Experience in network and cloud security, ideally including building or extending security platforms
  • Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST or ISO 27001 and how they are applied in a SOC context
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python or PowerShell and with automating security processes
  • Analytical, structured and independent way of working and confident communication in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business
