Description

Forto, a digital freight forwarder, is hiring a hands-on expert trade analyst for its Global Trade Management team. Reporting to the VP of Trade Management, the analyst builds the analytical backbone behind trade decisions, spending most of the time writing code, building complex data models, tuning high-performance queries and designing algorithms. The role owns the data pipelines and models behind gross profit reporting, demand forecasting and yield management, and builds predictive models that help procurement buy smarter and pricing sell more effectively. It also designs dashboards in Looker, Tableau or Power BI for senior leadership, and merges external market intelligence with internal performance data to give trade managers data-backed recommendations on trade lane strategy, carrier negotiations and risk management.
