Description

CHECK24 Services GmbH is looking for a senior full stack engineer to build modern web applications and cloud-based solutions that automate internal processes across the CHECK24 group. The work ranges from digital on- and offboarding flows to a central platform for managing hardware and software and the software-driven rollout of internal infrastructure. The engineer also runs the applications they build, using DevOps and GitOps tooling, and owns monitoring and alerting for them. The stack is Python with Django on the backend and Svelte, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, with integrations into services such as Microsoft Entra, Slack and HR and finance systems. Close collaboration with other teams from concept through delivery is a core part of the role.

Requirements

  • Very good software engineering skills for web applications with Python (Django backend) and Svelte, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the frontend
  • Enthusiasm for agile work and the conviction that the best solution beats the fastest hack
  • Thorough command of REST APIs: design, implementation and integration
  • Routine use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude and a clear sense of where they help in daily development work
  • Interest in Git and DevOps tooling such as Ansible and Docker
  • German at C1 level for clear communication with stakeholders
  • An eye for what could be improved and the drive to actually fix it
