
Electrical Engineer (F/M/D) – Maternity leave cover ~1 year
Description
NavVis is hiring an Electrical Engineer as maternity leave cover for about one year to join its Electrical Engineering team in Munich, which designs custom electronics for NavVis mobile mapping systems. You will build, test and troubleshoot prototypes, design multi-layer PCBs with high-speed signals and power management, and create test setups alongside senior engineers. The role also supports hardware bring-up, validation and production ramp-up, working with Mechanical Design, Embedded Software, Supply Chain and Software Engineering teams. It suits an engineer with a relevant degree, 1+ years of product development experience and hands-on PCB design and prototyping skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field
- 1+ years of experience as an electrical/electronics engineer in product development
- PCB design experience with tools such as Altium, Eagle or KiCad
- Hands-on prototyping and soldering skills and comfort with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
- Familiarity with embedded systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and basic programming experience, ideally in Python
- Good communication and collaboration skills for working across Mechanical Design, Embedded Software, Supply Chain and Software Engineering teams
