Description

Rohde & Schwarz is looking for a Tech Lead Software Safety at its Teisnach site to work on safety-critical software for counter-drone (C-UAS) systems. The role independently develops safety-relevant software functions, derives and maintains software safety requirements from system requirements, safety analyses and standards, and integrates safety mechanisms into the C-UAS software. The Tech Lead creates safety concepts, plans and documents safety analyses and architecture reviews, supports verification and validation, and helps evolve secure software architectures and development processes. Candidates need a master's degree in computer science, electrical or aerospace engineering, several years of safety-critical software development experience, knowledge of standards such as MIL-STD-882E, IEC 61508 or ISO 26262, and very good German and English.

Requirements

  • Completed master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in safety-critical software development and in developing and implementing safety concepts
  • Very good understanding of modern software architectures and distributed systems
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards and methods, e.g. MIL-STD-882E, IEC 61508, ISO 26262
  • Strong social skills and good communication, including in virtual teams
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Structured, analytical and self-reliant way of working
