Description

The AWS Developer Tools Science team in Berlin is looking for an Applied Scientist passionate about building services and tools for developers using generative AI and machine learning. You will help build Large Language Model (LLM)-based services that enhance the developer experience in the cloud, working with AWS services such as the AWS IDE Toolkit, AWS Bedrock and the Agent Toolkit, and contributing to the aws-bench open source agent benchmark. You will design, implement and evaluate ML solutions for ambiguous, undefined problems, working closely with software engineers to deliver end-to-end modeling solutions. The role includes building benchmarks for AI agent performance, owning technical quality, and publishing research at external scientific venues.

Requirements

  • PhD, or a Master's degree with experience, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning or a related field
  • Experience building models for business applications
  • Patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
  • Programming experience in Java, C++, Python or a related language
  • Experience in areas such as algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing or high-performance computing
  • Experience in state-of-the-art deep learning model architecture design, training, optimization and model pruning
