Description

The AI & Strategic Partner Engineering team in the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization builds deep integrations that let customers and partners such as SAP run their workloads on AWS. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will design and deliver solutions across security, AI/ML, distributed systems, databases and cloud infrastructure, rapidly prototype with AI agents and LLMs, and own development from design to deployment. The role includes architecture and code reviews, operations, direct work with customers and partners, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need 4+ years of professional software development and 4+ years of system design and architecture experience, plus a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Requirements

4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
4+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
Experience programming with at least one programming language
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing and operational excellence
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
