Description

CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Hotel GmbH, which runs the CHECK24 hotel comparison, is hiring a (Junior) DevOps Engineer for its data science area in Münster. The role operates and administers the Linux-based infrastructure behind productive data science services, using configuration management tools such as SaltStack or Ansible. You will help build and automate CI/CD pipelines for data science and machine learning applications, support monitoring of ML and LLM workflows, and maintain AWS infrastructure with infrastructure as code and Docker. Candidates need a degree in computer science or a related field, Linux administration and Python knowledge, first experience with Docker and CI/CD, and fluent German with good English.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics, natural sciences or similar
  • Knowledge of administering Linux system environments (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • First experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack or Ansible and with system automation
  • Familiarity with common CI/CD and deployment concepts
  • First experience with containerization (Docker)
  • Python skills and experience with common Python libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Gunicorn)
  • Strong willingness to learn, hands-on mentality, structured and responsible way of working, team spirit and analytical thinking
  • Fluent German and good English
