Description

Helsing, a defence AI company, is looking for a Senior Accountant Accounts Payable in Munich who owns the procure-to-pay process and takes on functional leadership of the accounts payable team. The role covers the end-to-end incoming invoice and expense management workflow, from data entry and verification to approval and payment, including national and international payment runs and vendor master data quality. You play a central role in implementing Helsing's new AP workflow management system, drive automation such as OCR recognition and help build a location-independent service and admin team. You also deliver AP month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and VAT regulations. Candidates need substantive AP experience with functional leadership, deep P2P knowledge, proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, DATEV or MS Dynamics and fluent German and English.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in an accounts payable function, including functional leadership responsibility
  • Deep practical knowledge of the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, including expense management, owned in a complex multi-entity or multi-location environment
  • Proficiency in one or more leading ERP systems (e.g. SAP, DATEV, MS Dynamics) and experience with modern invoice approval and workflow tools
  • Contribution to or leadership of a finance systems implementation or process automation project
  • Highly structured and precise approach to financial operations with pragmatic judgement in ambiguous or complex situations
  • Fluent German and English
