Description

The Agreements team within AWS Billing in Berlin is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build the next generation of the cloud-based commerce system used by millions of AWS customers. Computing AWS bills is a large-scale distributed systems problem spanning trillions of usage records, millions of accounts and hundreds of thousands of rates, with strict accuracy and exactly-once processing requirements. You will own problems end-to-end, from agentic automation powering zero-touch launches to the core agreement data stores and the systems that publish agreement and pricing information to downstream clients. The role builds on AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions and CDK and works directly with AWS service teams so they can bring new products to market in minutes rather than weeks.

Requirements

  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++ or C#, including object-oriented design
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
