Description

A lead architecture role shaping the strategic direction of T-Systems' cloud-native architecture for a highly secure, sovereign platform. The architect owns the design of architecture standards and ensures a scalable, consistent and secure platform landscape, developing reference architectures, blueprints and best practices. The role enforces architecture governance and compliance across delivery streams, makes strategic technology decisions, and defines the security architecture including BSI IT baseline protection and accreditation preparation. It also carries architectural responsibility for service mesh with mTLS and zero-trust network policies.

Requirements

  • Deep Kubernetes expertise and experience with cloud-native systems, CI/CD, GitOps (Flux) and Service Mesh
  • Service Mesh with mTLS and zero-trust networking
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust and GitOps including GitFlow
  • Very good Git skills, including Git workflows such as GitFlow
  • Essential experience with Crossplane and Gardener
  • Experience with IronCore
  • BSI IT baseline protection, accreditation processes and security architecture for sovereign platforms
  • Policy engines for Kubernetes hardening
  • Security benchmark compliance and systematic cluster hardening
  • At least 3 large DevOps applications put into production
  • German at native speaker level and good spoken and written English
