Description

CHECK24 is hiring a Junior Full Stack Developer for its growing Furniture (Home & Living) shopping marketplace in Berlin, which already offers over 3 million products. Working in small, agile teams, you will develop new features with modern web technologies and help evolve and maintain the system architecture across frontend, backend, databases, and caching. You will collaborate closely with product management to analyze requirements and implement technical solutions, and take part in code reviews, pair programming, and retrospectives. The stack includes React and TypeScript on the frontend, backend languages such as C#, Java, PHP, Python, or Go, and data stores like MySQL, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse.

Requirements

  • Completed IT degree with very good grades (computer science, media informatics, business informatics, or similar), or training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker)
  • Good software development knowledge in modern programming languages such as C#, Java, PHP, Python, or Go, plus first experience building web applications or mobile apps
  • Understanding of relational and distributed database systems as well as search and analytics platforms (e.g., MySQL, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse)
  • Desire to build modern frontends with React and TypeScript
  • First exposure to AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and interest in using them meaningfully in development
  • Initiative and motivation to advance the product, the team, and personal development
  • Business-fluent German (at least C1) and good English (B2)
