Description

At FlixTrain, the Senior Manager Regulatory & Legal Affairs shapes the regulatory and legal conditions under which the company secures access to the German and European rail market. Responsibilities range from assessing railway-law developments (ERegG, AEG, and relevant EU legislation) to representing FlixTrain before the Federal Network Agency and in industry bodies. You will support strategic network planning from a regulatory perspective and work closely with the Network Planning, Public Affairs, and Legal teams as part of an initially two-person team. The role requires a law or regulatory-focused degree, five to seven years of relevant experience, and very good German and English (C1/C2).

Requirements

  • Completed law degree, or an economics/political science degree with a regulatory focus
  • Five to seven years of professional experience in regulatory or legal roles, ideally in a regulated industry such as rail, energy, or telecommunications
  • Experience dealing with regulatory authorities and preparing complex regulatory matters clearly for the target audience
  • Very good German and English (C1/C2)
