Description

Celonis, the global leader in process mining and process intelligence, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Core squad of its Process Query Engine team in Munich. The Process Query Engine is an analytical database that lets customers interactively mine enterprise-scale datasets, and the role focuses on building a highly parallelized, distributed database in modern C++ and Java. You will develop new concepts and algorithms for data management and query execution, benchmark and optimize performance, and take end-to-end ownership of reliability and scalability. It requires 5+ years of production software development, system-programming experience with C++, and knowledge of parallel computing, distributed systems, or database internals.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or comparable education
  • Experience in system programming with modern C++
  • Solid knowledge in one or more of: parallel computing, distributed systems, or database internals
  • 5+ years of experience in software development for production systems
  • Analytical mindset with a strong understanding of performance and algorithms
  • Excellent communication skills in English
