Head of People Operations & Tech
Description
Leadership role at n8n, an open-source workflow automation company, owning and rebuilding the operating system behind the People function. You own the hygiene factors of employment (contracts, payroll coordination, visas, employee policies) and keep SOC 2-related compliance audit-ready. You stand up an in-house people analytics capability, own and evolve people systems such as HiBob and Mahana, and drive automation using n8n's own product. You also act as onboarding liaison and build out a small team of analytics, automation and systems specialists. The role is remote-first within Europe and reports to the VP People.
Requirements
- Proven experience scaling or maturing an existing People Operations function through a comparable growth range (e.g. 500 to 1,000 employees)
- Hands-on ownership of contracts, payroll coordination, visas, employee policies and SOC 2-adjacent compliance
- Comfortable both setting vision and prioritizing and rolling up your sleeves on execution
- Real experience with people analytics and data, and willingness to build that capability in-house
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as HiBob and driving process automation in a People function
- Based in Europe
- Track record of having run or built this kind of function at least once before
- Sequencing judgment: get the process and data right before automating
