Description

Rohde & Schwarz is offering a Master's thesis position in Teisnach, Germany focused on design rule evaluation for via-filling depending on surrounding geometry. The student will design a suitable PCB test board, accompany the production process, and measure the fill level of microvias. The role includes statistically evaluating raw data to derive design rules, deriving a mathematical relationship between experimental fill level and theoretical copper consumption, running spot checks to verify the transfer function, and supporting integration of the process into PCB production.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in microsystems technology, nanotechnology, sensor technology and analytics, chemistry, or a comparable field
  • Basic knowledge of electroplating processes
