Description

Rohde & Schwarz is hiring a Hardware Verification & Test Architecture Engineer at its Berlin-Adlershof development site, working on the latest generation of military Software-Defined Radios (SDR). The role designs modular, scalable test environments and frameworks, leads verification and commissioning of complex hardware assemblies using precision measurement equipment, and develops performant test software for SoC systems in bare-metal and embedded Linux. It combines Python-based test automation with C/C++ low-level and driver development on microcontrollers, plus close collaboration with software, firmware, hardware and system integration teams. It requires several years of hardware-related software development and validation experience and business-fluent German and English.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of solid experience in hardware-related software development and hardware validation, ideally in a safety-critical or military environment
  • Proficiency in Python for test frameworks and automation, and C/C++ for embedded and low-level development
  • Confident working with Embedded Linux distributions
  • Deep experience with complex electrical measurement equipment and strong understanding of circuit analysis
  • Experience designing test frameworks and knowledge of modern test automation strategies
  • Independent, structured working style and strong team and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support external partners
  • Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken
