Description

Rohde & Schwarz is hiring a Platform / DevOps Engineer in Dresden to build the platform where AI models run safely and reliably, from the data center to edge deployment. The role operates and automates cloud and on-premise infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), builds CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitOps, and ensures observability, capacity planning and incident response for AI platforms. It implements security concepts such as RBAC and secrets management, collaborates with MLOps and AI teams to provide robust model-serving runtimes, and hardens platform components for hybrid, edge and air-gapped scenarios. It requires several years in platform or DevOps roles and very good German and English.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in platform or DevOps roles, working confidently with cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code and automation
  • Experience with observability stacks, logging, monitoring and incident management for production services such as Grafana
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or Helm charts
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling in GitLab and GitOps approaches such as kustomize and ArgoCD
  • Deep understanding of security best practices, specifically access control, secrets management and secure deployment workflows, with the ability to guide application teams
  • Teamwork, communication, independence and personal responsibility, plus analytical thinking and a solution-oriented approach
  • Very good German and English, written and spoken
