Description

Rohde & Schwarz is expanding the operations staff of its R&S Cyber Defense Center and is looking for an experienced CDC Detection Engineer in Leipzig. The role takes technical responsibility for the CDC detection engineering process, continuously improving detection and response capabilities, alerting and detection rules across a global team. It includes operational support to analysts (real-time monitoring, triage, coaching), collaboration with global infrastructure operations teams, and documentation such as SOPs and architecture diagrams. It requires a Master's in Computer Science or Information Security, cybersecurity experience with SIEM and SOAR, and scripting skills in Python.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Security (or equivalent) with cybersecurity experience, ideally in global companies
  • Experience building or developing CDC structures in an international environment, including SIEM and SOAR
  • Ability to use and understand scripting languages such as Python
  • Familiarity with common frameworks and standards (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Ability to handle complex tasks and problems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
