Description

Senior Solution Architect role at T-Systems International shaping the next-generation identity provider for Germany's healthcare telematics infrastructure (TI), a security-critical, regulated platform built on Java and Spring Boot and running cloud-natively on Kubernetes in sovereign German clouds. You own the end-to-end solution architecture - the backend modulith, event-driven integration, data architecture and multi-tenant Kubernetes topology - and evolve it towards a hexagonal architecture. You design the identity and security architecture (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, HSM-backed key management, Trusted Execution Environments) and translate gematik specifications into an auditable design. The role requires at least eight years of software development including architectural responsibility for production backend platforms and hands-on IAM design.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of software-development experience, including several years with architectural responsibility for production backend platforms
  • Hands-on experience designing IAM systems, with command of OAuth 2.0/OIDC at the architecture and design level
  • Proven track record in evolutionary software architecture, decomposing or modularizing established production systems without interrupting operations
  • Experience in regulated or security-critical environments, translating complex specifications into precise, auditable designs
  • Expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem
  • Domain-Driven Design, hexagonal architecture and modulith patterns
  • Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
  • PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka
  • Architecture documentation (ADRs, arc42, C4) and CI/CD with Git
  • Fluent written and spoken English
