enmacc, a Munich-headquartered energy-trading scale-up, is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help disrupt post-trade processing in the over-the-counter (OTC) energy trading market on its Fidectus product. Working within a small Agile dev team alongside developers and product managers, you design, plan and implement product and platform features for a highly interactive, event-driven product. You build clean, scalable code, own implementation from design through test automation and documentation, design simple schemas and APIs, and contribute to the software framework, features and cloud infrastructure. The role requires a computer science degree (or equivalent), experience with RESTful APIs and schema design, and backend technologies including Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB and AWS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and schema design
  • Experience updating sophisticated enterprise-scale services
  • Backend technologies: Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, AWS
  • Well-versed in Agile methodology and experience across the software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Good written and spoken English
