Description

Rohde & Schwarz is looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and operate the platform on which AI models run safely and reliably, from the data center to edge deployment. You will automate cloud and on-premise infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, build CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitOps, and ensure observability through logging, metrics, and alerting. The role includes implementing security concepts such as RBAC and secrets management, handling capacity planning and incident response, and hardening platform components for hybrid, edge, and air-gapped scenarios. You will collaborate closely with MLOps and AI teams to provide robust runtime environments for model serving and data services. The position is based in Dresden, Germany.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in platform or DevOps roles with confident use of cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
  • Experience with observability stacks, logging, monitoring, and incident management for production services (e.g. Grafana)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm charts) as well as CI/CD tooling in GitLab and GitOps approaches (Kustomize, ArgoCD)
  • Deep understanding of security best practices in access control, secrets management, and secure deployment workflows, and the ability to guide application teams
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Very good written and spoken English
