Description

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a software development engineer for signal analysis measurement technology at its Meckenheim site in Germany. Working at the interface of software, hardware, and signal processing, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art high-end signal and spectrum analyzers, from requirements analysis and design through implementation. You will design concepts for device operation and assembly control, develop intelligent algorithms for measurement data processing, and implement software in C++ for Windows and Linux using modern, AI-assisted development tools. The role includes coordinating device functions with hardware development and commissioning new functions together with hardware development and production. It requires a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable field and advanced object-oriented programming experience, ideally in C++.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable field
  • Advanced experience in an object-oriented programming language, ideally C++
  • Knowledge of Python or MATLAB and of software architecture concepts and design patterns
  • A mindset for modern software development, using AI coding assistants to optimize workflows, refactoring, and documentation
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Very good written and spoken English
