Description

Zalando, Europe's leading online fashion platform, is hiring an Assistant Merchandise Planner to provide analytical insights that improve the assortment and support the unit's financial success. You take actions that directly affect financial performance through stock and price management, staying aware of external market trends. Day to day you produce reports and analysis for weekly trade meetings, own pricing topics, steer assortment across the product lifecycle, manage stock intake and replenishment, and flag risks to your team. You communicate key messages to Buying, Operations and external brand partners and improve processes, using stock, pricing and reporting tools alongside Excel and Google Suite. It is an entry-level role based in Berlin.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience in merchandise planning or a commercially facing analytical role, ideally in retail or etail
  • Understanding of KPIs and the actions that can be taken to impact the business
  • Motivated, structured and able to prioritise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English skills, clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and solid negotiation skills
  • Enjoys working with numbers, thinks strategically, and is an expert in Excel with experience in Google Suite
