Description

Product manager role at Rohde & Schwarz responsible for the strategic and operational management of photonic measurement systems and components and for driving their further development. The position covers market, trend and competitor analysis, identifying new business opportunities, developing go-to-market and pricing strategies, and steering the entire product lifecycle. It involves close collaboration with R&D, sales and marketing, key account management, and representing the company at trade fairs and conferences. Based in Munich, it requires a background in photonics/optics and several years of product management or business development experience.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in photonics, physics, electrical engineering, optics or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in product management or business development in photonics or optical measurement technology
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to turn market and customer requirements into viable business models
  • Confident in market analysis, pricing and creating business cases
  • Knowledge of optical components and systems such as lasers, spectrometers, sensor technology, interferometry and fiber optics
  • Experience in key account management and building long-term customer relationships
  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
  • Persuasive, with persistence, strong communication skills and enthusiasm
  • Very good German and English skills and willingness to travel worldwide
