Description

RF hardware developer / development engineer role at Rohde & Schwarz in Memmingen, developing analog and high-frequency assemblies for airborne (aeronautical) software-defined radios. The position covers the full development process from concept through simulation, component selection and circuit optimization (power amplifiers, RF frontends, synthesizer modules) to qualification and transfer to series production, including certification of airborne hardware per RTCA DO-254. It involves design reviews, defining test specifications, and ensuring product supply and service capability across the lifecycle. Requires an EE degree focused on RF/communications and experience with hardware design tools such as SPICE, Microwave Office, CST or HFSS.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering with a focus on high-frequency technology, communications engineering or a comparable field
  • Professional experience in hardware development and high-frequency technology
  • Sound knowledge of hardware design tools, for example SPICE, Microwave Office, CST or HFSS
  • Experience in programming, ideally with Python, as well as proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting
  • Very good German skills at least at C2 level and good English skills, written and spoken
  • Structured and quality-oriented way of working and enjoyment of developing innovative solutions in interdisciplinary development teams
