Description

Celonis, the process intelligence and enterprise AI company, is hiring a Head of IT Platform & Infrastructure to lead a core team within its Global IT organization. The role owns the strategy, operation and evolution of Celonis' internal platform landscape, including Google Workspace, Slack, the Atlassian Cloud estate (Jira, JSM, Confluence) and a lean, fully cloud-based infrastructure. It leads a distributed team of platform engineers across Europe and India, drives platform governance, backup and security in close alignment with InfoSec, and champions AI to automate operational toil. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring 10+ years of IT platform and infrastructure experience including at least four years of people leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT platform operations, SaaS administration, platform engineering or IT infrastructure
  • At least 4 years of people leadership
  • Proven track record leading distributed teams across locations and time zones
  • Deep hands-on experience administering and governing enterprise SaaS platforms at scale, ideally Google Workspace and Slack
  • Strong Atlassian Cloud expertise (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) at enterprise scale
  • Demonstrated AI fluency applying LLMs and AI tooling to real operational problems
  • Hands-on know-how hosting and operating MCP servers and providing virtualized infrastructure
  • Practical experience automating platform work via APIs, integrations, workflow automation and scripting
  • Good understanding of IAM concepts such as SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM provisioning and privileged access
  • Solid working knowledge of public cloud services and SaaS data protection and backup concepts
  • Strong IT security fundamentals and experience in ISO 27001 environments
  • Experience with ITSM practices, service ownership, budget responsibility and vendor management
  • Fluent English
