Description

FPGA/VHDL developer role at Rohde & Schwarz in Memmingen, designing and implementing VHDL modules for signal-processing, communication and control functions in FPGAs used in aeronautical (airborne) radio devices. The work follows the DO-254 standard and covers requirements analysis, FPGA module specification and the overall FPGA architecture. It includes simulation and verification through measurements on target hardware, specifying timing and routing constraints, and close coordination with the hardware and software teams for successful integration. Requires an electrical/communications engineering degree and sound VHDL and FPGA development knowledge.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in electrical and information engineering, communications or telecommunications engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Sound knowledge of VHDL and FPGA development
  • Experience in digital circuit design, signal processing and communications engineering
  • Very good German skills at least at C2 level and good English skills
  • Structured and committed way of working and enjoyment of technical collaboration in interdisciplinary development teams
