Description

Obsolescence management specialist role at Rohde & Schwarz in Memmingen, responsible for the central receipt, registration and initial assessment of PCN/PDN (product change/discontinuation) notifications and for mapping and matching them against the R&S parts master. The position designs and runs the PCN/PDN process, handles material compliance inquiries, and coordinates the timely forwarding of notifications to engineering, quality, purchasing and production. It supports development in evaluating alternative components, monitors processing progress, maintains the tracking database and produces regular status reports. Requires an electrical engineering technician or bachelor background and experience coordinating administrative or technical processes.

Requirements

  • Technician in communications/electrical engineering with relevant professional experience, or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience in coordinating administrative or technical processes, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Confident handling of common office applications as well as digital database and tracking systems
  • Structured, careful and self-reliant way of working with a high quality awareness
  • Enjoyment of coordinating with different departments and managing parallel cases
  • Very good German skills (at least level C1), written and spoken
