Description

As a Senior Software Engineer for SAP Integrations, you are a core member of Zalando's in-house ERP Engineering team, designing, building and operating modern cloud integrations across the SAP S/4HANA landscape. You work exclusively with cloud integration and API-led connectivity on SAP BTP Integration Suite - no legacy point-to-point middleware - and own solutions end to end from design through production operation. You expose and consume OData/REST APIs, implement event-driven integrations with SAP Event Mesh, and connect SAP systems (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba) with third-party SaaS platforms. You also own production health (monitoring, alerting, SLOs, incident response) while ensuring GDPR, security and compliance.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite
  • Proficiency with SAP Business Accelerator Hub - deploying and configuring pre-built integration content
  • Strong experience with SAP API Management (API policies, security, throttling, monitoring)
  • Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh or Advanced Event Mesh
  • Solid understanding of OData, REST, SOAP and messaging protocols (AMQP, Kafka or equivalent)
  • Experience integrating SAP systems (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba) with third-party SaaS platforms
  • Knowledge of GDPR and security best practices in integration design
