Description

Statista, the world's leading business data platform, is seeking a (Junior) PR & Communications Manager to support and shape communications across the EMEA region, with a clear focus on Germany and the UK. Reporting to the Head of PR & Communications, you turn Statista's data, products and corporate stories into compelling narratives, proactive media relations and communications content. You draft and tailor press releases, media pitches, op-eds and Q&As in German and English, build relationships with journalists, and prepare executives for media appearances. The role is hands-on for a professional at the beginning of their career and is hybrid from Hamburg or Berlin.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience in PR, corporate communications, brand communications, journalism or a related field, in-house or at an agency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
  • Strong writing and editing skills producing press materials, media pitches and editorial content
  • Experience in media relations, including pitching stories and building relationships with journalists and editors
  • A good understanding of the German media landscape
  • Ability to turn complex information into clear, relevant stories that resonate with media
