Description

A Senior Analytics Engineer role at Flix owning and evolving the data foundation behind People Analytics. The engineer turns complex People data into clean, trusted, well-modeled data products used across People, Finance and Management, owning the transformation layer from raw data to reliable models, metrics and insights. The role works hands-on with SQL, dbt, Snowflake and Python, builds analytics products and dashboards directly in Snowflake, integrates data sources and automates workflows, and establishes strong standards for data quality, testing and documentation. It sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, partnering with the wider Data Intelligence organization and using AI tools to accelerate the work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or a comparable data role with hands-on ownership of production data products
  • Expert-level SQL, including complex transformations, query optimization and large datasets
  • Deep hands-on experience with dbt (modular model structures, testing, documentation, macros, production-grade projects)
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and ELT principles, including dimensional modeling and layered architectures
  • Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
  • Strong Python skills for data extraction, transformation and integration, including working with APIs
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD principles for analytics code
  • Strong analytical judgment to turn ambiguous business questions into reliable data solutions
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A high degree of ownership and the ability to work independently
