Description

A senior DSP software engineering role at Rohde & Schwarz in Munich, focused on high-performance signal generation with advanced digital signal processing, simulation and AI-assisted development. The position designs and implements complex baseband signals within the existing signal-generator platform, and defines and designs DSP algorithms such as frequency and phase-response correction, IQ-impairment compensation, linearization and calibration. Algorithms are implemented and optimized in C++, with MATLAB and Python used for prototyping, analysis and validation, and transmission systems are modelled and simulated end-to-end. The role works closely with FPGA, hardware and testing teams on interfaces, register maps and integration requirements.

Requirements

  • Completed degree, preferably at Master's level or equivalent, in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field
  • Good knowledge of digital signal processing and communication systems, especially baseband processing, spectral analysis and noise or interference modelling
  • Practical experience in software development
  • MATLAB and Python skills for prototyping, analysis and evaluation
  • Experience implementing and verifying DSP algorithms, including related test and measurement setups
  • Experience with Git and basic software development processes such as code reviews and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication skills in English
