Description

Director of IT, Security & Infrastructure at Taxfix, building the internal platform and security function from the ground up to support the company's agentic infrastructure ambitions. You own the vision and roadmap for internal infrastructure and tooling, transforming IT from a ticket-resolving function into an internal platform product. You own core IT operations (device management/MDM, identity and access management, workplace technology, SaaS tooling, hardware) and set the security strategy and posture, embedding security into infrastructure. You lead and develop the IT team, own IT risk management and compliance (GDPR, SOC 2), and partner across Engineering, Legal, Finance and People Ops.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading an IT or infrastructure function at a scale-up or regulated tech company
  • Ownership of core IT operations such as helpdesk, MDM, identity management and workplace technology
  • Ability to build a platform mindset in a team that has historically operated as a support function
  • Technical depth to have credible conversations with engineers and push back on technical decisions
  • Security-literate with hands-on experience setting security strategy and navigating compliance and audit obligations
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners and making build/buy/outsource decisions
  • Familiarity with compliance and data obligations in a regulated environment (financial services, tax or similar)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shaping a function that is being designed in real time
  • A track record of growing and investing in the people around you
