Description

Vodafone is seeking a Senior Expert Cloud Data Engineer to join their team in Düsseldorf. In this role, you will optimize cloud processes for cost, runtime, and stability, and analyze technical requirements to develop solution designs for complex platform and data architectures. You will implement DevSecOps methods and take on a leadership or expert role in projects, potentially as a Technical Product Owner. The position involves guiding junior colleagues both onshore and offshore in developing cloud solutions. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work from the office or up to 3 days per week from home.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least five years of practical experience in big data or cloud development.
  • Certification as a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer and further in-depth certifications, e.g., as Cloud Architect or Machine Learning Engineer (or comparable AWS certifications).
  • Very good knowledge of a cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform or AWS).
  • In-depth experience with serverless infrastructures and the setup and operation of Docker containers and container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes, Podman, or Minikube.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (B2 according to GER).
