Description

Vodafone is looking for a Service Engineer (Coordinator) to independently resolve faults on deployed products by applying workarounds or fixing root causes, e.g. through configuration, ideally during the first customer contact. You will detect and track service restrictions and network faults reactively via customer feedback and proactively via monitoring, and own the customer incidents assigned to you until service is restored. The role includes initiating problem management for recurring or long-running incidents and incident controlling to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction. It requires willingness to work office hours, on-call duty or 24/7 shift operations, and is based in Düsseldorf or Eschborn (Vodafone GmbH) or Heidelberg (Vodafone West GmbH) with hybrid working.

Requirements

  • Completed technical vocational training (e.g. IT systems electronics technician, IT specialist or similar) and initial professional experience
  • Good organisational skills and good technical understanding
  • Confident use of Office applications and willingness to learn further organisational and technical skills
  • High commitment, sense of responsibility and quality, team spirit and reliability
  • Willingness to work shifts or flexitime with on-call duty (24/7/365)
  • Business-fluent German and good English, written and spoken (CEFR B1 or better)
