Description

Trade Republic is hiring a Data Scientist in Berlin for its Operations Platform team, which builds automated workflows and tools for Operations and Customer Support staff. The role plans the service roadmap, designs the architecture of scalable data products and spends most of its time researching, building, testing and deploying models. After deployment, the data scientist monitors performance metrics and makes data-driven adjustments. The team works with machine learning on tabular and text data as well as LLM-powered AI agents and workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of end-to-end data science and software engineering experience, preferably in a dynamic environment with a modern tech stack
  • Significant experience in Operations, specifically customer service automation
  • Experience applying a wide variety of machine learning techniques to business problems, particularly with tabular and natural language data
  • Strong command of SQL and Python with its scientific stack (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn)
  • Good understanding of software engineering practices (e.g. test-driven development, OOP, CI/CD) and experience productionising ML products
  • Recent hands-on experience deploying and maintaining an AI agent/workflow powered by LLMs, using both low-level SDKs (openai, anthropic, google-genai) and prompt engineering frameworks (llama-index, langchain, dspy)
  • General understanding of LLMOps principles for evaluating, testing, versioning and experimenting with prompts in staging and production (langsmith, langfuse, arize-phoenix, lunary)
