Description

Trade Republic is looking for a Payroll Intern to join its Payroll team in Berlin, Germany, with relocation support if required. The intern supports the monthly payroll cycle by collecting data from new joiners, entering it into Personio and handling the digital filing and distribution of payslips and payroll documents. Further tasks include acting as first contact for the payroll helpdesk, tracking working student hours and international requirements such as Tax IDs and A1 certificates, and preparing documents such as unemployment certificates. Candidates should be recent graduates in accounting, HR, business or a related field with professional English and at least B1/B2 German.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate in Accounting, HR, Business, Social Studies or a related field
  • Detail-oriented, with a zero-error mindset when handling sensitive financial data and personal documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/G-Suite (Excel is your friend)
  • Ability to explain complex payroll timelines to new joiners clearly and empathetically
  • Professional fluency in English and at least B1/B2 German (essential for handling German certificates and authorities)
  • Reliability, an understanding of deadlines and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
